The Betes – what you can expect

So, as promised, over the next few weeks…I’ve got some videos for you.
In this series, you’re going to find out how to give yourselves a shot, insert a catheter into your stomach, checking blood glucose, and all sorts of other cool things. I’m really looking forward to showing you how this whole thing works.
I’ll also be talking about “Betes No No’s“. Things you shouldn’t do around someone with diabetes. Such as : “Wow, this apple pie tastes like it was made of sweet drippings from heaven…but you can’t have any”. That’s a little obnoxious.
I am still writing out the last episode where I answer random questions, so if you have any you’d like answered… Now’s the time.
For example : Is diabetes contagious? Answer : No, it’s just like being ugly. You’re just really unlucky or you have bad parents.

I pee constantly. Isn’t that a sign of the betes? (or am I just getting old?)

While a very “sensitive” subject….I love to talk about peeing and the elderly.
Your question shall be answered.

Do you still have to give your self a shot or do they have a patch like nicorette? If you & I became blood brothers would I contract it?
What are the chances your kids get te betes?

Can the Medtronic device sync with iTunes?
neilgreathouse
It’ll sync with iTunes and plays Johnny Cash’s Ring of Fire when your pump has to come out.
